Sumptuous Guest Bath

The formal style bath was created adjacent to the guest room for the 1999, Tucson, Museum of Art Designer Showhouse.  The walls are treated to an authentic gilding technique to resemble an antique mirror.  The color fills the space with a warm glow.  Faux crown mouldings bring the 12' ceiling down to human scale.  Wrought iron frames the mirror, which creates a silhouette against the walls.

Florals, sculpture and artwork make this retreat a place where guests will feel pampered and welcome.

Little Girl's Bath

The playful feeling of an adjoining bedroom is carried into this cheerful bathroom.  Ceiling color of deep sage green is partially pulled down onto the walls to make the room more in scale for a 7-year old girl.   The raspberry, pink and green stripes below the plum molding are muted by a glazing technique.  A fiesta shower and tub treatment is done with strips of ribbon repeating the colors of the walls.

Whimsical artwork set in white frames, and colorful wall storage complete the look.
